Pets and Dogs

I had a cold for several weeks and all my cat did was lay by my side. I think cats can catch human colds and I think that is what has happened.

has been sneezing and I can hear she is breathing through clogged nostrils. My cat will not let me put any medications in her mouth..she goes crazy and runs when I come near her with any medications.

I fool her into taking medication? What type of medicine should I give her.

Someone asked a question about Parelli recently, and while some people responded that they liked him, there were also a lot of thumbs downing for people that said so! So I can only assume that some people have a beef with Parelli, or perhaps other trainers like John Lyons or what have you.

training “method(s)” do you use, if you follow the teachings of any of the “celebrity horse trainers” out there? If there are any methods you don't like, tell us what you dislike about them and why you prefer yours.

looking to get some fresh ideas and opinions.! The most useful training tools I have come across were Sally Swift's “Centered Riding” books, a book by Marcy and Tony Pavord: www.amazon.com and Gincy Self Bucklin's two books on horse behavior and psychology (here's one: www.amazon.com ) How about everyone else? OK, whoever is that is thumbs-downing people when they mention a specific training method, stop.

www.rense.com ok so im guessing most have seen these amazing pictures.. my question is.suppsoe they turn out to be real.. whats next.? do u think nasa or whoever multi goverments would send up a manned mission to capture them.? would this be ethical..? what about human rights? would they apply in this case? would it be right to bring them back to eartth and stick them in a cage and do test on them? i dont think this should be allowed? im very intrigued by this all..? do u think cats can survive on mars?

My Cat is always by the window looking out as if he was praying for freedom. I dont know if it is just me but i always thought cats were a little more in tune with everything than humans were.

then again that is just me.I always let my cat out whenever it wants to go out but sometimes i think the cat wants more is it just me or do cats want the same things humans do? and what do you think my cat wants?

and a half she has hardly been able to move due to pain.

vet says it's a spinal problem. Nothing showed up on the E-ray. She screams with the pain, and her hind legs are turned in. I have to pick her up for her to go outside and she does not walk around at all.

shakes and jerks alot. She's on medication and we've tried several kinds, the meds only stop her from screaming, while all her other symptoms stay the same. I know an MRI will show more, but I don't want to put her through a big operation and I don't know what to do.

pain is bad and I don't want her to suffer anymore. I'm thinking about putting her down, cause I hate to see her suffer.

vet is a good guy and thought that our dog would have shown impovement or recovered by now.

fact that she has not, makes me more concerned every day. I don't know if it's a tumor or what she has all I know, is that I am struggling with this. I don't want to put her down, but I can't let her suffer.

What would life be like if it was the exact OPPOSITE of what PETA wanted? Here are a few questions to start you off. 1) Would breeding the APBT be punishable by law? 2) Would using dogs as service dogs be illegal? 3) How many extremist animal rights activists would be arrested/fined/jailed/etc.? 4) How heavily would PETA be fined by the government for vandalism and crime? 5) Would breeding dogs be banned, or would responsible breeding take place more often or would dogs just be released into a “dog preserve” area where they'd be allowed to reproduce and live as they pleased? 6) What diet would dogs be eating? Please add other things too.those four were just to start you off.

just stuff about dogs, about other things too! Like what people eat, what we do daily, etc. etc. Can't wait to see the answers on this one! PS I am not pro-PETA, please don't take this question that way. I turned against their ridiculously extremist ways months ago. I asked a similar question like this a short time ago. It got reported and deleted because it “was not a real question” (normally the reason when I get a violation notice). Please allow me to make myself clear: This IS a real question. It is a question I am asking to see what you guys think the world would be like if it was the opposite of what PETA desires.

my about 8 year old dog (shes a stray were guessing) has been limping on her right front paw for 2 weeks, were taking her to the vet saturday but i really wanna know sooner so i can take care of her, please help, also shes a german shepard mix, mostly german shepard, please help SOON! thanks also she doesnt have anything stuck in it, when i massage it she doesnt pull away its really wierd ok look pom mom im asking this question cause i want to have some kind of idea when i go 2 the vet i dont want to (and dont expect) the true diagnosis, im leaving that up to the vet but still i dont wwant to go in looking clueless but thank you for your honesty

so heres the story 5 months ago me and my parents have a dog male skye terrier) but he died someone broke into our apartment one day and stole our stuff and poisoned him we truely miss him so now we are ready for a new dog me and my dad were searching for a new dog but with no luck but i think my mom is not ready yet she want to wait for another month but i could start looking now but im not sure what breed of dog i want i want a dog and my dad wants a cat so as i said we live in an apartment i love giant breed dogs but apartment is not a good place for a giant dogs i dont want any small fluffy dogs as they tend ot shed a LOT i visit my local animal shelters but i didnt find any dog that match me in some kind of way i was also searching ofr other animals like parrots but they are messy i like ferrets but we live in NYC and they are illegal i dont know why
